"We booked a superior room with king size bed with Hotels.com.
As preparation, we inquired if early check-in is available and that we were willing to pay extra for it. The only response we got was an automated response informing about their lockers.
When we arrived at around 12nn for check-in, we asked reception the same and got information that they were fully booked, so it was not possible at all. Earliest check-in is at 16:00. We think, ok, understandable, so we went out and set our luggage in the locker rooms.
On the way out, we saw another family being checked in, and their kids even getting free ice cream. So I guess bookings from Hotels.com isn't as favorable as others?
Anyway, we went back at 18:00 (2 whole hours after check-in) and we get the message that our room isn't ready still. When we complain that this unprofessional, given the time, they say "oh actually, we made a mistake, your room is ready". We finally go into our room, and there we discover that it isn't even the room we ordered. It was a room with 2 single beds, instead of the king size we ordered. When we yet again complain, it is only then we got the correct room.
Location is good, breakfast is ok, but service is the worst I've had in years. I do not recommend this at all."
