Stunning Views, Stellar Staff—But a Total Letdown on Everything Else
Review:
The beachfront at Punta Blanca is postcard-perfect, and the staff? Absolute gold—kind, quick, genuinely caring. They handled every ask like pros, even when things went sideways. That part deserves five stars.
But the room? A disaster. Tiny black bugs swarmed the place—walls, floor, bed—like they owned it. The mattress looked like a crime scene: brown stains everywhere, no attempt to hide or clean them. Construction hammered away nonstop—saws whining, debris blocking walkways—so “relaxing getaway” was a joke.
We had zero drinking water in the jug until I complained. And yeah, I proposed here. Got on one knee, bugs crawling up Jess’s legs and mine mid-moment. Romantic? Try mortifying.
Almost 2 grand for this? No way. The staff saved what little grace there was, but the property wasn’t guest-ready. I wouldn’t step foot back here—three nights free wouldn’t tempt me.
If you’re chasing romance or peace, look elsewhere. The bugs and noise will haunt you longer than the view. They may have offered a full refund, but with the language barrier, I wasn’t sure and I definitely would have took them up on it even though I don’t feel it. It’s right because of how well the staff was, but I know it’s a disservice not to share about this experience, especially being how I am just taking my entire suitcase to the trash in fear of spreading whatever those little bugs are into my home.
