I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction and concern regarding my recent stay at Aloft Orlando at SeaWorld. I arrived around midnight for a short overnight stay with my young son, expecting a smooth check-in process and a clean, comfortable environment. Unfortunately, my experience fell significantly below expectations.
Upon arrival, I encountered issues with the front desk regarding the security deposit. I was informed that the deposit would be $75; however, my card was initially charged $50, and I was told the transaction declined. Immediately after, I was charged again, resulting in a total of $100 being held on my account. When I brought this discrepancy to the front desk agent’s attention, my concern was dismissed, and I was simply told that it was a “hold” rather than a charge. While I understand how incidental holds work, the inconsistency in the amount and the lack of clear communication were both unprofessional and frustrating.
Additionally, I scanned the parking QR code as instructed and attempted to confirm next steps with the front desk. Despite showing the code and asking for guidance, I was not given any explanation or assistance on how to proceed, which left me uncertain about parking compliance.
After checking into Room 302, my son, who was extremely tired, went straight to sleep. As I began settling in, I noticed multiple cleanliness concerns that made the room feel unsanitary. The shower contained visible brown stains and hair, the
