Welcome Home to West Village Gem, a private, quiet, sunny townhouse apartment in New York City.
Live, Work & Stay in 400+ sqft of contemporary light-filled living space with a focus on designer finishes among our curated art collection, complete with comfortable gathering space and room for quiet relaxation.

Comfortable bedroom, kitchenette with electric range, dining & lounging area, full bath and a delightful fire-escape landing overlooking the most charming street in the West Village.

The Space:
A SEASONAL Home in New York City

Simply the most charming apartment you will set foot in, located in the heart of the West Village. Gorgeous attention to detail and fully furnished. The apartment is equipped with queen-sized bed, ultra-luxe mattress, kitchen (though, no oven) and much more.

A unique opportunity to experience life in the Village, your neighbors include Liv Tyler, Hugh Jackman, Sarah Jessica Parker and some of the tastiest restaurants in New York City. Amazing cocktail bars, cobble-stoned streets and the best local shopping in town.

The Apartment:
One flight up from West 4th street in a classic land-mark building awaits this amazing corner 1-bedroom apartment; hardwood-floors, custom-paint job and 11 foot ceilings. Designer lighting and old-world moulding create a remarkably quaint and romantic experience. Enjoy the full view of the romance unfolding on the West Village streets below from the floor-to-ceiling windows in every room.

The Bedroom has a queen-sized bed, writing area and ample closet space for shorter term stays.

The Kitchen is equipped with two mobile electric stove-tops and high-end dish- and glassware. Kindly note: There is no oven in the apartment. You will be enjoying the local fare instead.

Discreetly access your private 'balcony' (ie. a New York fire escape) and for the more daring, a complete roof-top looking out over the West Village is accessible as well.

Great apartment in the best NYC neighborhood

We stayed at the apartment for 5 nights in February and could easily have stayed a month... The apartment was clean, nicely furnished, and a very short walk from dozens of great restaurants and shops, as well as the subway. Considering that the apartment is only one flight up from a vibrant street and has lots of windows, we couldn't believe how quiet it was. The owner sent along really clear instructions in advance -- checking in and out couldn't have been easier. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing location and owner!

I had a great stay! I spent a week here with my girlfriend. The apartment is small, but cozy. Easy access and in the most perfect location. So many great restaurants and bars close by. Thomas was responsive and very helpful from beginning to end. I would definitely stay here again!

Very pleasant apartment on a quiet street in the West Village. Everything you need for a weekend stay, close to the great restaurants in the area, and a lovely area to walk in. Convenient to the subway for travel to other areas of the city. Thomas was accommodating and friendly to work with. I would happily stay here again!

NYC’s Best Location

We are frequent visitors to Manhattan and we found this apartment to be in our favorite location. It is small, but ideal for two. The owner, Thomas, is very helpful with any special requests. A good choice if you want to experience the most charming and fun parts of NYC . . . within walking distance!

Absolutely a perfect location in the West Village. Exactly as advertised and double pane windows so noise was not an issue. Host communicated very well and was easy to deal with. Hope to stay here again in the future.

Thomas was super accommodating when we found the apartment was not clean and we could not find some basic needs/items. He personally came and cleaned the space and provided the things we needed (towels). He also discounted our stay for the inconvenience. Thank you, Thomas.

Perfect Little Apartment in the West Village

This is a cute little apartment, perfect for one person or a couple, in a charming building. The best thing is the location - a wonderful neighborhood in the West Village, with good restaurants and bars within one block (a great one just downstairs.) It's also right near the subway and an easy walk to the Whitney, the High Line, and Chelsea. See you next time!

Perfect little West Village "Gem Box"

Thomas was a fantastic host to this great little apartment in the West Village. My wife and I were in town for a Broadway show and found the people watching from the fire escape nearly as entertaining. Within walking distance of several well-reviewed restaurants and bars there was hardly a need to hail a cab or Uber. We always daydream about moving to NYC and this was a welcomed short-duration sense check of that experience. Thank you Thomas and we hope to see you again soon.

Excellent Getaway Location

Great pad for a getaway in Manhattan. Simple apartment from which to base your adventure. Plenty to do locally. Not far from 14th Street subway or 7th Avenue cabs. Thomas was very attentive and responsive. Apartment is above a restaurant but it's not noisy. (Thank you.)

West Village Christmas

We loved staying at Thomas' West Village apartment. The location was fabulous, everything was exactly as Thomas had communicated and was ready for us on our arrival. The place is really cozy, comfortable bed, great wifi and entertainment selection on the big TV. The best though is the location - great views through the many large windows, and really close to everything. We'd definitely stay here again. Thomas was great to deal with, both proactive and responsive. Thanks for letting us enjoy "a little West Village charm"!

Wonderful location!

Absolutely Perfect!!

My 20 year old daughter and I live in California and wanted to get a real taste of NYC and we did with so much more!! Equipped with its own fire escape stairs in which we sat and enjoyed the sights and sounds of the street; we absolutely loved this neighborhood!! We even dared to go to the rooftop and WOW the views!! The location is prime and the apartment itself was everything we expected and more! The listing description was accurate, the apartment was well kept and clean. I was skeptical about the sheets and room accommodations and found myself very very pleased. We slept like babies:) I almost booked our stay at the Soho Grand Hotel but as nice as that would of been, I am so happy we chose this apartment! Soho, Greenwich Village, little Italy are within walking distance. The statue of Liberty, Battery Park, 9/11Memorial are a cab ride away without the hustle and bustle of Time Square where we have traditionally stayed in the past. It was warm during our stay and the air conditioning worked perfectly! I am happy it was located on the first floor because for us, two sets of narrow stairs with luggage was all we wanted to deal with!:) I loved that this neighborhood was happening in the day and evening but yet it was quiet and relaxing. It had the perfect blend of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. I have to admit I had a list of acclaimed restaurants to visit but found ourselves very happy with the local options instead. Mary's Fish Camp has the best Lobster roll for lunch, Extra Virgin Restaurant down the block was perfect for dinner, they have outdoor candlelight seating; very romantic, service was great and I strongly recommend the chilean sea bass or mushroom crusted chicken with risotto. They also had a good wine selection! We had breakfast at Bosie Tea Parlor, they have a large assortment of teas and great lattes- I recommend the Bosie Tea Service. So quaint! I have nothing but great reviews about Thomas. He was a true gentleman!! He was professional, easy to communicate with, very prompt to reply to my many questions and very detailed with check-in/check-out and all the little details in between. I was an event coordinator for years and recommended VRBO based on colleagues experiences but had never used their services personally AND it is so refreshing to see the care and commitment to good service Thomas displayed to us. We felt very welcomed and look forward to staying here again! Thank you!
