Madison was an absolute GEM at the front desk! She took our early check-in request and got us into our room a bit after 1pm (vs the 3pm normal check in time) — ON NEW YEARS EVE! She made sure to let us know when we arrived at 10am that we could store our bag in the office, head downtown to do the tourist things, and told us to call to check on the early check in a bit later. She made the stay stress-free and seamless.
The room we booked had a balcony, which faced out over to Manhattan. From that balcony, we were able to see the fireworks at midnight all over the city!
The room was big enough, and clean, but it was VERY warm. Granted, we were on the 14th floor, and heat rises. We eventually ended up resorting to sleeping with the balcony door open. Despite turning the thermostat down, the room remained a bit too warm for our liking.
The pillows were comfortable. The bed left a bit to be desired — it was a little too hard, and you could feel some of the pressure from the coils in the mattress. Nothing too horrid!!
