I got stranded from LaGuardia because of a big snowstorm and had to find a hotel for the night. I had ridden the train to Queens to get the Q70 to LaGuardia, so I was a little familiar with the Jackson Heights subway stop and knew I could get reliable transportation between there and the airport, so I found this hotel, which is only a few blocks away. It's not like a Four Seasons or anything, but I was more than happy with where I ended up. There are tons of decent restaurants within a couple blocks, most of which were even open during the snowstorm. I stayed on the sixth floor with a very nice view of the lower and midtown Manhattan skylines - a MUCH nicer view than I had at the Hilton Garden Inn Tribeca that I stayed in for the rest of the trip. Accommodations were basic but decent. The neighborhood is really enthnically diverse - I probably heard 6 or 8 different languages being spoken in the small amount of time I was in the area. Overall, I was happy to have landed at this hotel for the night despite my traveling woes.
