Not as Advertised – Know Before You Book
This stay was very different from what was advertised, and there are several important things future guests should know before booking. The boat has only a 30‑gallon water tank with no hot water. You cannot flush toilet paper; all used paper must be placed in a trash bag and taken with you when you leave. There is no refrigerator—only a cooler, so you must bring your own ice.
Power is extremely limited: just one outlet powered by a solar inverter. There is no air conditioning, which was very uncomfortable in South Florida. The beds are not standard size, the living space is very cramped, and this listing will not comfortably sleep six adults unless two sleep outside on the deck.
Overnight parking is not included and must be paid separately. We were told where to park, but we were not informed there was a fee, and we ended up receiving a parking ticket.
Transportation to the boat is via a very small skiff that had standing water inside. Guests must have good mobility to get in and out of the skiff and to climb a ladder onto the boat—this should be clearly disclosed. After going ashore on day one, the weather became rough and we were unable to safely return to the boat, forcing us to find a hotel.
We ultimately did not stay any of the three nights we reserved. This experience could work for very adventurous travelers who are prepared for extreme limitations, but the listing needs much clearer and more accurate descriptions.
