«Voco in Astoria is a great place to stay. It’s less than a year old and the rooms are soundproof. Across from me was the subway track and I could barely hear it. It was probably one of of best showers I’ve ever had in a hotel room. The restaurant serves dinner and breakfast. The food and atmosphere was amazing as well as the excellent Customer Service by the entire staff throughout the hotel. It’s a short walking distance to a subway entrance. I will definitely be returning there.»

«The hotel itself is very nice, and I really liked the room. However, I came specifically for the sauna and swimming facilities as a way to relax, and this aspect of the stay was disappointing.
The pool was freezing cold, which meant I didn’t feel comfortable using it at all. In addition, the sauna had not been switched on before our arrival, so we had to wait for it to heat up. After about five minutes we decided to leave, as it still wasn’t ready.
