The room itself was just nice for 3 of us. The genkan (doorway) was big enough to open luggage/store luggage. There were plenty of space to hang clothes. The toilet was bigger than the average Tokyo hotel toilet.
There was a "balcony" kind of window, which we used as a 3rd table space to place small items, or lean against to watch sunset (our room faced the sunset and we had a good clear view of the silhouette of the Fujisan!!) We were on the 7th floor, which was the highest level we stayed in this trip.
There were free wifi in the room and connection was great. The details of the wifi was stated on the TV home screen.
There were many features on the TV home screen. One that we appreciated was the Laundry Room availability. The TV would display the amount of Washing Machines, its' availability, and the wash/dry timing that is left on each machine. This was very convenient, thank you!
We also loved that the TV would display a message to us when our luggage arrived.
The staffs were friendly and helpful. If there were any language barrier, they had a translation device to assist in a quick flow of conversation.
The location of the Hotel is convenient. It was in the middle of Ikebukuro and Shinjuku, yet it is not as crowded. The train station had only 1 exit/entrance so there is no confusion. There are many konbini, drugstore, cafes along the way to the hotel.
All in all, we had a great stay with Richmond Hotel! Thank you!!
