«La Mansion is such a great value offer at the Lake Arenal. Its one of those places that seem timeless and quiet - and that is a very good thing.
The staff goes out of their way to assist you to make the most of your stay in the rain forest. Whether that's booking day trips, activities or just giving you tips on hikes in the local area, they are there for you and will do their utmost to help you with you plans.
The restaurant is also a treat - in fact the best food we ever had in this area came ...

«We had a wonderful stay here with our 5 teenage/young adult children. I was skeptical that the views and the rooms were as great as the pictures, but they were even better. We had two villas near each other for 7 people and had plenty of space. The location is private, yet a short Uber drive to La Fortuna. The food at the restaurant was great, though not a huge variety. There is AC in the rooms, which wasn't obvious from the listing, but much appreciated. The staff was wonderful. Everyone was so ...

«The individual cabin style rooms are very private and cozy. Almost too cozy! We like to be woken up by the sounds of the jungle and these rooms with heavy curtains are perfect for sleeping in. It was both a blessing and a curse! I do wish they didn’t use BRIGHT WHITE lights. Soft lighting would have been better, and would go much better with their decor.
Having a front glassed in and a back open porch was great to enjoy the mornings…. We actually caught a glimpse of a Howler Monkey going ...

«This was my first hotel in Costa Rica, and overall it left a great impression. The volcano view was beautiful, the staff were kind, and the room was large and spotless.
The only small downside was the dinner. The price was high compared to the value, especially the steak, which I hope can be improved in the future. »

«The room was large and very comfortable for our group of four (two adults and two teenagers). We especially enjoyed the private thermal pool, which was an awesome addition.
However, we did notice that some of the fixtures in the room are a bit dated, particularly the toilet. Updating these elements would significantly improve the overall experience.
