The property is absolutely beautiful, with stunning architecture, lush gardens, hanging bridges, and impeccably maintained grounds that feel very private and peaceful. The rooms are spacious, elegant, and thoughtfully designed. Our room offered a lovely view of the Arenal Volcano and included an outdoor jacuzzi, an outdoor shower, and an indoor shower. We were also fortunate to see two toucans directly from our room, which was a special highlight.
Overall, our experience was mixed. The staff was attentive and friendly, but did not seem sincere. The food was generally mediocre and overpriced. Breakfast was particularly disappointing, as it felt prepackaged rather than freshly prepared. The front desk recommended the Middle Eastern fusion restaurant, which did not meet our expectations, though the wine list was excellent. The Italian restaurant, Mis Amores, stood out as the best dining option on the property and also offered the best service. The staff at Mis Amores were genuinely welcoming and authentic. Their warmth felt sincere, and their interactions reflected their personality and culture rather than rehearsed courtesy.
The spa treatments were underwhelming for the price. That said, I would return for the beautiful rooms, lush gardens, and overall setting, which are truly exceptional.
