Location - 5 Stars Cleanness - 5 Stars Check in - 5 Stars Room - 2 Stars There are 2 major problems here 1) The leaking windows in the kitchen and bath room, cold air squeeze into rooms, rooms are cold even with the heating on. 2) the capacity of water heater is low. The tank only have 70/80L capacity vs 30/40 gallon in US, after one person take a shower, the next person need to wait about an hour waiting for the water temp to raise. The water heater is using electricity to heat water vs natural gas in US. In the cold winter, it is a big problem.

A spacious flat in a perfect location! You can't ask for more, but you get more: A roomy living area that looks onto the street, a large bedroom away from the street noise, a well-equipped kitchen. The flat is close to public transport (buses and metro), within walking distance of many sites, close to grocery stores and an excellent covered market. Rue de Buci around the corner is lively and has shops and cafes. The owner was responsive and helpful. This apartment is a gem.

The apartment is in a great location in Paris and is close to everything you could need to make your stay enjoyable. There is no elevator but it is only 36 steps to reach it, so not too bad. The kitchen is very well-appointed and includes a stove/oven and a full-sized fridge. The apartment is very large and has two beautiful windows to view the streets of Paris!

Great Location

We stayed at Francois’s place for a week. The apartment is really well located. The metro is a block and a half away. There are plenty of brasseries, good bakeries and restaurants around the corner. A Carrefour express is around the block as well. The apartment has no elevator (not uncommon in Paris at all), and could be a little challenging if you had a lot of luggage. We lost the key the day we were checking out, Francois was really nice and sent his cleaning lady right away and she opened the door for us and we made it on time to our flight ( later I found the key…). I used the washer/dryer once and it worked well, not dishwasher. The refrigerator is a good size by European standards.

Perfect location

The apartment has everything we needed including dishwasher and washing machine. We walked to most of the famous sites and the metro was very close for the rest. All the restaurants in our area were great.

December 2023 Stay

This property was an excellent choice. Everything was as described in the ad and shown in the pictures. Convenient rooms. Beds are very comfortable (absolutely NO bed bugs!). Everything was very clean. The apartment is conveniently located within a short walking distance from Odeon metro station (lines 4 and 10). St. Michel RER B and C station is a bit further but also quite close. Despite of being in the middle of a tourist area, the apartment is very quiet. Francois left us precise easy-to-follow instructions and was overall very helpful and easy to reach. There is washer and dryer in the kitchen. The kitchen had all necessary utensils and supplies. Area around the property has many shops, restaurants and a Carrefour supermarket. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property. We hope to be back again some day.

Roomy flat in charming & lively neighborhood

We especially loved the location of this flat. Although it is a lively neighborhood, the bedroom is quiet and faces the inner courtyard. The check-in process was flawless and Francois, the owner is responsive and helpful. The flat was comfortable, had all the amenities we needed, without being fancy. Many cafes, a food market, wine merchant and bakery with delicious breads, sandwiches and desserts were within a block of the flat.

A Taste of Paris

Wonderful Parisian apartment accessed from the street via a courtyard and a set of stairs. The grand window cases which opened to sounds of Paris were particularly delightful in the evenings. The full kitchen, modern bathroom, and washer/dryer combo made for a very comfortable stay. The proximity of the property to the metro as well as its proximity to major sites made the location ideal. The number of cafes, food markets, and quaint clothing stores nearby made for many enjoyable evenings just strolling the streets in the neighborhood. The host was accessible and accommodating to our requests for early check-in which was much appreciated. All in all a wonderful experience that I would gladly have again and again.

Fabulous apartment in the heart of Paris

This is a perfectly located apartment in a gorgeous quartier. Turn left out of the apartment and you are a 5 minutes walk from the Seine and opposite the Louvre. Turn right and you have an abundance of cafes and high-end restaurants on your doorstep. The apartment is charming and surprisingly spacious. It overlooks the main street on one side and a lovely inner-courtyard on the other. The decor is full of charm and you do have everything you could possibly need: washing machine/drying rack/microwave/ extra duvets etc. Sofa bed is high quality & very comfortable and the modern bathroom was much appreciated. Finally, the host is marvellous. Excellent communication throughout. There really are no downsides to staying here. We will certainly be back! Many thanks again. Sarah & family

Très bien situé, propre, complet

Séjour de 5 nuits en couple. Idéalement situé avec commerces, bars, restaurants, transport en commun situés en moins de 2 minutes à pied. Quartier très animé, central. Appartement complet, joli, bien aménagé, grand, confortable. Accueil sympathique! Si vous êtes sensible au bruit, amenez des bouchons—le voisinage peut être animé tard (ou tôt), incluant de la musique à diverses heures de la nuit. De manière générale je recommanderais chaudement ce logement à quiconque!

Excellent location with spacious living area

We loved staying here. Francois responded very quick, the location superb with great restaurants steps away and a supermarket around the corner. The apartment was ample for Paris standards. The metro station was very near.

Great flat in an amazing neighborhood

I had a wonderful stay at François flat. François was very responsive. The neighborhood is amazing -- dozens of restaurants and boutique shops within few blocks. Supermarket 1/2 block away. And many top sites of Paris in easy walking distance. The neighborhood is very "lively". Expect some noise in the living areas if you leave windows open. Thankfully, the bedroom faces a coutyard and is very quiet. I would definitely stay in François flat again.

Excellent Location and Large Apartment

We were three in the apartment. It is a one bedroom but the living room is very big the a fold out sofa bed and a futon. I think you could fit a family of 5 here. The apartment was very clean, has a washer/dryer, several towels. A full kitchen although we never used it because we enjoyed eating out. The location was amazing! We crossed the Seine river several times for walks the view is spectacular in the day and night. Walking distance to Saint Chapelle, Notre Dame, Louvre, and the Luxembourg garden. There are several restaurants and cafes. We enjoyed having breakfast at Thevenin right around the corner. The apartment is very close to several Metro stations making it super easy to get around Paris. I highly recommend staying in this apartment for the large clean space and the Location!

Paris Memories Without Comparison

This apartment has more going for it than just location in the heart of St. Germain des Pres...four Metro/RER stations from 200-500 meters; a short walk to The Louvre, Musee d'Orsay and Ile de la Cite; and nearly 100 restaurants/bistros in the neighborhood. This includes Les Deux Magots, Mabillion, Procope (the oldest restaurant in Paris, and one not to be missed) to small pizza and wine bars. Night-life on the street is as good as any in the city. The apartment itself is two floors up from a pretty little flowered passageway in a 300 year old building, with spacious, nicely furnished living an dining area overlooking the (low traffic volume) street, and a bedroom set back beside a quiet interior light court. The place was exactly as billed, with the owner and family immediately available if we needed anything - which we did not. We found the bath and well appointed kitchen to be fully modern and efficient with space for all our uses, and each day we had small petit dejeuner at the little kitchen table...espresso from the small machine (with a few packages of Nespresso left for our use), fruit, cheese and pastry from numerous nearby groceries, fromagerie and patisserie (Carton was the best). The character, convenience and accommodation of this apartment helped make this stay in Paris unforgettable.

Perfect location

This apartment is exactly as pictured. We arrived early and Francois was very accommodating allowing us to get in early. His lovely mother stopped in later in the day to make sure we had everything that we needed—which we did. As others have mentioned the location is perfect. We loved staying here.

One of the best apartments ever

I sincerely do not have anything negative to say about this apartment. It is in the perfect location in the perfect neighborhood. Only two flights of stairs up so not too much of a trek to get to. It is very spacious and charming with big wooden beams and vintage fixtures. There is a large living room facing the street with big windows letting in a lot of light (but, interestingly, not much noise). There is an adequately sized dining room where we ate breakfast and lunch and which we could also use as an impromptu office as I had some work to do while here. The kitchen is perfect; for American tastes, there is a full size refrigerator with a real freezer so you can make ice - highly unusual! And a very good stove and oven. No dishwasher but that was not a problem at all. The bedroom was fairly small but situated off of the courtyard so one could sleep with open windows to let in some air but it was very quiet (unlike many other Paris apartments we have rented where we were awakened by loud early morning sounds). We didn't use the TV but the internet was fast and reliable (not always the case, in our experience). But, perhaps most appreciated, was how well appointed it was. Usually, when we arrive, we need to buy everything - soap, toilet paper and paper towels, laundry and dish soap, garbage bags, sometimes even salt, pepper, and sugar. We did need to buy our food but the amenities that are necessary for daily living were all there. Francois arranged for us to check in a bit early as we had an early arrival time (and his housekeeper, Mona Lisa was charming and accommodating) and he came to check on us in the afternoon to make sure all was OK. I visit Paris a few times a year and I would come back here in a heartbeat and I have rented many apartments here. Thank you, Francois, for an exceptional apartment rental experience.

Very nice and convenient

Very spacious, clean and convenient to grocery stores, shopping, cafés, metro, and museums. Great location to serve as a home base to return to after spending the day sight-seeing and shopping. The living and dinning room provided plenty of room to gather for meals and relax (the 3 couches were perfect!) The kitchen had all necessary appliances with a grocery store around the corner. Great Stay!

The location of this flat is spectacular. We were able to take the metro to anywhere in the city very easily. Although the weather was quite warm, 85F on most days, a number of fans were provided which made it easier to bear. The flat was nicely equipped with everything we needed and Francois and his brother Mathieu were both available via phone/text if we needed anything at all. Check the binder for all information before venturing out so you know how to get back in to the building. A silly mistake that we made as we rushed out the door to go to a concert on our first day and didn't realize that a code was needed to get in to the building at night. Luckily a nice neighbor let us in and we made sure to double check the book again before going out the next day. I was very surprised and pleased with the size of this flat. Kitchen and bathroom are very nice and modern. We truly enjoyed our stay.
