«We plannes to stay in NY for 11 days. Manhattan was expensive. The apartment in Bedstuy looked fine, but we had heard that the area was "sketchy" (lonely planet). Stay away from Bedstauy! said a New-yorker. Don't used the Subway in the evenings! I was a bit sceptical, but now we have tried Bedstuy and "La maison des sirene". We felt safe all the time. «Such a great place, perfect spot after skiing. Enjoyed the hot tub after a long day on the mountain. Some suggestions…. Some hand towels for the bathroom and kitchen towels(only found one to wash dishes). Maybe a boot warmer to drive off boots and shoes in the winter. Quicker response to messages would be good too- couldn’t find the remote for the TV and didn’t get a respond till 3AM wondering if host is based overseas? «We had a wonderful time! Charlie and Yolanda were our hosts and they were amazing!There were 10 of us staying at the house and never once did we feel crowded. The home is exactly as pictured. We were also very thankful that we were able to bring our 2 dogs. The yard was totally fenced in and the dogs had as much fun as we did. The weather was a bit cool but the pool was 84 degrees and one of the highlights of our trip. The grandkids had a blast. The hot tub was a treat as well. You are close ...
