«We plannes to stay in NY for 11 days. Manhattan was expensive. The apartment in Bedstuy looked fine, but we had heard that the area was "sketchy" (lonely planet). Stay away from Bedstauy! said a New-yorker. Don't used the Subway in the evenings! I was a bit sceptical, but now we have tried Bedstuy and "La maison des sirene". We felt safe all the time.
