«We stayed here as it was close to Stony Brook University. The staff were very polite. We were able to check in early, which was a great help. We were just staying one night and did not eat the breakfast. We would stay here again.»

«Had a great stay for the weekend. Needed to get away from Manhattan for some fresh air. This place has a bed and good service, the rest is up to you. We went to the Pollock-Krasner house and Montauk, and just needed a place to sleep. Ocean View Terrace was perfect and a lot cheaper than the other places in the area.»

«I was very impressed by the kind attention paid to me by the manager, who upgraded my room and showed me to the cottage and parking place. The room and bathroom were clean. The bathroom window showed a little wear and tear, but it wasn't a big deal. While the motel might not be as fancy as other places, it makes up for it in location and charm of the staff.»

«Parking easy, off season so they had no beach passes, ice, continental breakfast. Coffee not ready by 8:00 am when they said it would be.»

«Call first to confirm the pool is open. Arrived after long travel day looking forward to pool only to find a closed pool sign on thr door. A little advanced notice, even at check in would have been appreciated.»

«Pestle good stay at this hotel, can not complain. It is a bit far from New York city center. But you get your train that is 15 min walking away. I recommend renting a car to Hertz Wantagh which is only 200 meters from the hotel, if you are going inwards to the city. The hotel is a bit old, but everything is top of the people working there, we got lots of nice tips and service at what we want to do the 12 days we were there.»

«The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. I liked the layout of their own overall & the bathroom. Staff were attentive & friendly. The floors in the room creek with every step both in the room and in the room above the room. You could easily hear people walking back-and-forth.
