«Visually the place makes a very good impact. Dinner, the food was excellent as were the staff. Breakfast … we’d booked it at check in. We turned up to breakfast and there was nothing booked , the service at breakfast was okay , we did have to case up something. But overall we had a very good stay and would return.»

«We had a lovely stay at The Ship Inn. The room was really clean, bright and comfortable and plenty of space to relax in. Nice to have good quality coffee and tea facilities in the room and reasonably priced items on offer in room if you wanted it. Loved the roomy shower in the bathroom. Staff were really friendly and helpful (helped find a taxi). Food in the bar was excellent, and the main menu looked great (we will try next time). «Bodde 4 netter på Mermaid i forbindelse med påsketur til Ipswich. Ankom byen med tog og gikk fra stasjonen opp til hotellet, ca. 20 min å gå. Veldig koselig hotell! Innsjekk i resepsjonen i puben, men rommene er i eget bygg 50 meter bortenfor. Utmerket pub, bar og lounge med godt utvalg i mat og drikke. Veldig trivelig familie-spisested med mulighet for å se sport på storskjermer. Rommet (dobbeltrom) var stort og helt greit med bad med badekar! Det var noe trafikkstøy fra veien rett utenfor, men ...

«Hyggelig vert, pene og store rom. Reint og stort bad, Snacks og drikke på rommet. Beliggenheten er strålende da det er 2 banker i nærheten og en langtidsåpen butikk rett over gata. Sengen var meget god!»

«This B&B provides everything you could wish for. Comfortable en-suite rooms and an excellent breakfast. Everything is provided in the rooms despite Expedia stating that in some of the rooms bed linen and towels are not provided. - this is clearly NOT true, as everything we could hope for was there. The owners clearly work hard at providing a very high standard B&B, and succeed. A lovely stay.»

«I booked late in the day but staff were very welcoming on check in. Clean, warm and comfy room. Great pub attached and Excellent breakfast. Location is ideal right at the top of a busy high street but noise wasn't an issue during the stay.»
