«The inn was very quaint and quiet and peaceful. The approach to the inn was interesting and could use a larger sign. The room was nice, and the breakfast food and snacks provided were excellent. The view of the lake and mountains was great, and the wildlife and birds were fun to watch. It is better to go after the season opens due to the limited places to dine out of season. Overall a pleasant stay. »

«The Shack Inn on the Homer spit was a great place to stay. I was very comfortable staying and the unit that I stayed in was spacious and tastefully done. It was clean and in a great location in order to experience the Homer spit!»

Although I do recommend changing your picture on Expedia to something else so people don’t think they are getting that cute mini cabin(false advertising), one other thing I have to mention is the check out time! Understandable that it’s 10 am, but when there’s no employees on site to assist with minor issues (we left a bag in the room and had to card/break in) then there’s no need to have it be at 10am. «The Fairview is ALWAYS a good time and we were so happy to see rooms open to stay in. Everything was clean and easy to access. It is NOT a place to stay if you are hoping to rest or get good sleep, and unfortunately we went to bed around 10pm. The free earplugs are necessary :)»
