🚴🏽One of the top MTB trails in the Folsom-Sacramento area. Not for beginners. This sign ain't no joke!💥
The shimmering, jewel hued waters of the aptly named Emerald Bay was a sight for sore eyes. By far the best view in Lake Tahoe! My only regret was not packing my swimsuit.. or a decent pair of walking shoes to hike down to Vikingsholm. [August '14]
Hike the Eagle Lake trail! If hiking in winter, I recommend Goretex boots, water resistant pants, trekking poles, snacks and optimism. The views are incredible and completely worth "power sliding" through the snow ;) Snow shoes would have been a great addition too.

Mt. Tallac (9,739ft) is located in the Desolation a Wilderness and Eldorado National Forest. The mountain is accessible all year round. In the winter it is a popular winter mountaineering and backcountry ski area. The Northeast Ridge is the most direct and steepest route and is only doable in the winter. #snow
