Øvre Donau naturpark

Highly recommend this hotel. The most unbelievably incredible view of the alps and Lake Thun (make sure you book a balcony room). Wonderful breakfast included (not just continental). Sauna, steam room wellness spa on premises. Friendly people, and cute mountain town; just about 15 minutes from Interlaken. Loved this hotel, we returned and booked another night after some traveling around the area.

It is a perfect location, close to the central Station and the buss terminal. All the tourist area was around us and people very helpful to inform us. One blond tall lady that worked at the evening at the checking counter the 11th. Of june, was not very polite... We just asked if we could have the Ice Cream we were promessed at the check-ing in the afternoon and she was not very happy that we asked for it. We only offer when it is hot outside and now is not so hot. But if you were promessed then I have to give it to you! THIS WAS NOT NECESSARY! IT WAS JUST AN ICE CREAM. The rest of the employees were very helpful and polite.

I didn't see that it had a shared bathroom when I booked it. The only private space is the bedroom. There are other bedrooms in the "apartment" and people share the bathroom, kitchen and living room with you. There were a couple of fans in the bedroom but it was still super hot. There is street parking but you get ticketed during certain times and you're only allowed to park there for a short while, which was a hassle. After 45 minutes, I checked out and booked the Hilton. This is like a hostel. If you want your own space and comfort, this is not the place for you. If you don't mind sharing with strangers, some inconveniences and sweating, you'll do fine here!
