«Despite previous good reviews, this hotel is sadly currently a scam. We arrived to check in Sunday July 13th to find it was closed «for refurbishment». We had booked months in advance and have been continuously reachable via phone/hotels.com. And yet Alea made no attempts to warn us in advance. Instead we were told nonchalantly on arrival that we had been «relocated» to a different hotel where the room we were offered and facilities turned out to be below the standard we had already paid Alea ...

«This home felt like a private getaway mansion tucked in the jungle of Mexico. The modern touches made it even more special—an iPad in the kitchen let us play music and change the light colors and the beautiful projector setup made family movie nights fun. The drive in can be a bit bumpy and confusing at first, but just follow the signs. Remember the landmarks to entrance : Yax- kin cenote post and “Roberto” the welcome mannequin on the side of highway. Enjoy the jungle experience. »

«Nous avons aimé l’endroit, très calme. Malheureusement, impossible d’utiliser la mer car elle est rocheuse. Les chaises dehors et dans la cuisine ne sont as confortables, le divan sans accoudoir ne l’est pas non plus. Nous avons adoré le lit et les oreillers. La piscine est très bien. La petite piscine privée derriere n’est même as nvitante. Condo plus petit que les photos le proposent. »

«I miss this place already! Wonderful place and super nice staff. I would however recommend the ocean view rooms as the rooms in the "garden" do not have a particularly attractive view. We had room nr 3 (second floor in the "first row" of bungalows) and the view/feeling of staying there was worth every penny. Based on our strolls up and down the beach this was probably one of the best rooms you can get if you want the ocean view and sound of waves. Only negative thing I have to comment on; ...

«Clean rooms, well kept grounds, good vibes all around. Amazing staff!! The ONLY draw back is how loud the halls are at night. They are open air halls, so no carpet or anything to dampen sounds. Cleaning crews come thru during the night and it echoes thru the halls really bad. Same with guests at all hours talking loudly and it seriously makes it like an echo chamber in your room. Didn’t sleep more than a few hours at a time any of the 5 nights we were there. Everything else was amazing!! »
