This is a first class hotel and I really enjoyed my stay here. I traveled during low season (stayed for a little over a week) and the staff took great care of me. I had a massage at their spa and it was also wonderful. The massage therapist was one of the best I've had. This hotel has great amenities -- pool, spa, and it's right by the beach, perfect for morning and evening walks. The area is safe, good for female solo travelers. This hotel is not at the city center. While it is close to the beach, it's not close to many restaurants or grocery stores or pharmacies. No close laundromat either. Though there is one grocery store close by, and for me, that was enough. You'd have to take a bus or Uber to the city center. Uber or Bolt cost $10 one-way on average so it's not bad. I thought the food was good at the hotel restaurant, not the best, but good. The breakfast buffet is amazing and the cheesecake is a must and the best I've had!

Overall our stay in Hotel Amphora was very disappointing. Most staff were very unfriendly and really did not want to help with any issues we brought to their attention. The hotel itself is beautiful and has some lovely amenities but it is not being well maintained. There is major construction happening all around the hotel which meant it was extremely difficult to get picked up and dropped off at the hotel. This also meant that we were not picked up as arranged for an excursion we organised through the hotel. I appreciate the construction is not the fault of the hotel but it was not mentioned at any point when booking. The construction started at 7am most days and the bedrooms that were advertised as sound proofed, absolutely were not. We could hear all the construction and our room actually shook every time a door closed nearby. We booked this hotel specifically to be near a beach, beautiful pictures were advertised on Expedia…the beach was closed due to this planned construction the entire time we were there. We did receive a room upgrade due to VIP access and our room was beautiful. The VIP bottle of wine was only put in our room the day before we were due to leave so we did not have time to drink this. The daily housekeeping of our room was absolutely minimal, our glasses which we used were never cleaned or replaced and our tea cups were only replaced once in the 7 days we were there. The spa and pool facilities were really beautiful but are not being cared for.

There is construction going on around the hotel. The room was poorly cleaned, the windows were very dirty. we wanted to have dinner at the hotel restaurant, but as a result of waiting, no one approached us at the restaurant reception desk, and the waiters were minding their own business

Great restaurant. Spa had very limited services. Hair found all over bathroom upon check-in. Lots of construction. Staff do not knock and would just open door for cleaning or other services.

Hotel was right on the sea and had great views. Staff was very helpful. Included breakfast was outstanding. Only issue was road constructionwhich made it difficult to get to hotel but that is not the hotels problem

Infraestrutura excelente em ótimo local. Quarto espaçoso oferecido como upgrade pela equipe da recepção. Para ser um lugar perfeito, num dos melhores destinos da Croácia, é importante cuidar melhor da limpeza, em especial na lavagem de toalhas de banheiro, lençóis e travesseiros, maioria com mal cheiro. Excellent stay in Split
Nice, modern hotel across the street from the beach, only about 15 minutes from the Old City by taxi. Clean, modern, spacious room. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very nice. Friendly staff. Best breakfast buffet I have ever seen! Attached is the view from our room.

My room was very poorly cleaned, I found an old vaper under my bed and so much dust, the room was covered in dust on walls, floors and interior with spider webs on the golden wall decoration behind the bed, there was old spagetti in the water boiler and the things in the bathroom was covered in dust. I only had two nights there and my first night I checked in late and went out right away, so I didn't notice how dirty it was until coming back my second night. I woke up my second morning with double sided eye infection due to the dust and had been coughing and having a hard time breathing the whole night, having to sleep with the balcony door open thinking it was because of the AC. I spoke to the reception about it and they told me to leave my contact information and they would get back to me. It's been 1.5 months now without anyone contacting me. I sent them an email after two weeks telling them about my horrible stay and haven't gotten a reply. I would not stay at this hotel. It is also far from Split, approx a 15-20min taxi drive and it's in an area with a lot of construction work going on around it. When showering the water went all over the floor and out into the room, leaking under the carpet in front of the bed. The walls are very thin, I heard my neighbors "enjoying" their stay many times so to speak. Not at all relaxing. Why I didn't ask to switch rooms is because didn't realize how bad it actually was until I woke up with that eye infection on my last morning.

Beautiful hotel. Brand new and very spacious suite with an amazing ocean view. The staff were great. Had a wonderful massage at the spa for a great price. All the hotel amenities were great. Not walking distance from the old town, but only about a 10 minute drive and secluded from the crowds. Woll definitely stay there again.
