Paris with a family of 5!

Before I booked with this beautiful apartment, I read many of the comments that were left online and was a little concerned about the ease of getting into the apartment and the strict rules. I booked anyways, and I am thrilled that we did! The apartment is close to the metro, fabulous cafes and shops and a short walk to the Louvre! The beds are comfortable and the amenities are perfect. We did not cook because we were out seeing the sites all day and night. The only issue we had was on our last evening when the summer solstice party on the streets of Paris were happening. We were packing to head home and were all watching a movie. I received a call that we had a noise complaint because the tv was too loud. We had it louder then usual because of the very loud festival outside, so we turned it down and all was well. I would stay here again!

Short Paris Trip

The location of the property was very good...literally steps from the Metro which is what we used most of the time. Restaurants & grocery shopping was very close. The place itself was good but not great. The staircase was not lighted up well - it had motion sensor lights but unfortunately bulbs were fused so no light came on and it was quite dark going up the stairs. The bedrooms were small but adequate - two baths but only one had a toilet...the other toilet was outside separate like in a closet. The air conditioning worked ok but the kitchen was ill equipped - thankfully we didn't have to cook but one had to they would not be happy with the kitchen or its appliances. Overall our group of 5 adults were happy with the place.

Great Location- Lovely Apartment

100% as advertised. The photos are accurate. Easy and direct communication with Merveil. Easy and direct access to apartment. We were a family of 5, and although one of us had to sleep on the pull out sofa, we made it work, no problem. Great location.

Water pressure & not a three bedroom

While the apartment is quant, and in a fantastic location…. The communication was awful with management. After reading other reviews almost all complain about the guidelines and water pressure which was pretty much non existent. After complaining everyday to the company I just gave up. For the price per day for this apt the response and the water pressure should be fixed by now/ fyi.. they told me someone was coming to fix and no one showed up. Location great but not worth the money. I do not recommend…

Great location but Water Pressure and Air Conditioning are issues

Great apartment in a very convenient location in Paris. Many of the great tourist stops are within walking distance and there are convenient stores and restaurants within steps of the apartment. As others have stated, the unit is small. We had 3 people in our group and with luggage opened up, you are stepping over each other things to move around the apartment. When we checked in the air conditioning was not on and the apartment was very hot and uncomfortable. We turned on all of the AC units but it was not until the next morning that the apartment was comfortable. We had to keep the shades drawn closed at all times in an attempt to keep the unit cooler than the outside temp of 29 degrees celsius. Also water pressure is an issue. It may have 2 showers but we could only get one of them to deliver more than a trickle of water and be functional. We had a nice stay overall and enjoyed Paris but expected a bit more for what we were paying.

Great location, very small but nice apartment, some negatives to be aware of.

My experience at this VRBO rental was disappointing. Despite a few positives, I wouldn't stay here again. On the plus side, the location was excellent and everything functioned well. However, several issues detracted from the experience. Excessive enforcement of house rules, with additional declarations to sign and strict regulations displayed in the apartment, created an uncomfortable atmosphere. One roll of tissue per bathroom felt inconvenient and cheap, considering the nightly rate. The property management seemed disorganized, with different individuals handling each communication. The major problem occurred upon our late-night arrival. Despite accurate instructions, the lockbox had no key, leaving us stranded. Attempts to contact the management went unanswered, forcing us to find midnight accommodation in a foreign city. We received an apology and instructions for a second lockbox the next morning, but only one night's refund was offered, and only after my persistence. Lastly, the single key provided and the requirement to lock/unlock the door from the inside posed concerns with group members coming and going at different times. This was especially problematic at night while trying to respect the house rules. A second key or a more convenient lock mechanism would be recommended. In conclusion, despite the good location and functional amenities, the excessive house rules, initial key mishap, and inconvenient door lock setup made this a disappointing stay overall.

Great location and property

Great location in the Sentier area. You will fall in love with the alley across the street with blocks of eateries food and shops. Everything was very smooth and efficient. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. It is a small space just like most other places in Paris. Enjoy!

Beautiful!

The property was lovely. We had a few hiccups with adjusting our check in date (seeking to add a night), but they were ultimately resolved. We had eight occupants. It’s intimate for that number, but I would absolutely book again for a smaller number or a close knit group. Our child loved the loft area!

Nice place in great location

The apartment is nice, and the area around it is great. There is an awesome street 1/2 block away with many great food shops and cafes. One downside is that it is small. We had 7 people, and that was tight.
