"We really liked the location and the breakfast was nice. They are rooms are spacious and the pool and tanning area was really nice. I recommend the hotel. It is nice to know and be aware that you should use the note that says if you need cleaning or if you're sleeping. Otherwise they might knock on your door at 18, because they take your room last. When we arrived the first night we saw a huge coffee stain on the unused sheets so we had to ask if they could clean and change the sheet again and they did, so it was fine, but you should check underneath the extra pillows if it's clean."

"Hotellet hadde en suveren beliggenhet! Flott bassengområde med saltvannsbasseng rett i tilknytning til bryggen med muligheter for sjøbad. Dette var unikt i et ellers flott hotell med store, deilige rom med balkong med utsikt. God frokost der jeg spesielt satte pris på omelettkokken."

"Sentralt beliggende hotell i utkanen av Funchal sentrum, i gangavstand til det meste. Flere gode restauranter i området. Mulighet for parkering både på hotellet og i området rundt. God frokost på Hotellet."

"Fantastisk hotell med flott beliggenhet i solfylte Calheta. Hotellet utmerker seg spesielt på kundeservicen, der alle er veldig hyggelige og hjelpsomme. Alle restaurantene håndterte matallergier eksemplarisk, noe som ikke er en selvfølge. Stemningen på hotellet er veldig rolig og avslappende, både ved bassenget og ved solsengene nede ved havet. Både fellesområdene og hotellrommet var veldig rent, og det vaskes/ryddes flere ganger daglig. Vi kommer definitivt tilbake!!"

"The buffet felt less like a fresh dining experience and more like a systematic recycling operation. At the beginning of the week there was fresh fruit laid out nicely. As the days went by, that same fruit seemed to reappear in a different form. By the end of the week it had quietly turned into a rather sad fruit salad, clearly assembled from pieces that had already spent a bit too long on display. The vegetables were equally uninspiring. The broccoli appeared to be simply boiled and left exactly like that. No salt, no butter, no garlic, no seasoning whatsoever. Just plain green florets with almost no flavor at all. The potatoes followed the same philosophy: boiled, bland and completely forgettable. The pork was worse. It was not properly cooked through, which should never happen at a buffet. Pork must be fully cooked, and serving it undercooked is simply not acceptable. The fish also seemed suspiciously familiar, looking exactly like the same fish that had been sitting on the buffet earlier, just rearranged and presented again. What made the situation even more ironic was the daily “theme” dinners. Each evening was advertised with a different concept. One example was “Mexican Fiesta.” In reality it was exactly the same food as every other day. The only thing that made it “Mexican” was that a few tortillas and some chopped onions were placed next to the same dishes already served all week. That was the entire fiesta.
