Summary:
Enjoy 1920's charm with modern amenities! Stroll to the beaches, the bay, culinary delights, 2nd St. shopping, and Dog Beach! We love pets! Enjoy the local events right here in Belmont Shore. This remodeled, bright downstairs unit has ACs, a fireplace, a fully loaded kitchen, SupreFast Wi-Fi, and a washer/dryer IN THE UNIT! It is a perfect retreat to recharge & relax. We will do all we can to make your stay amazing! See why our guests keep coming back to our best AirBnb!

The Space:
Beautiful hardwood floors, comfortable, clean and spacious. There are two bedrooms - one with a king bed, and one with twin/queen bunk beds, plus the living room with a queen sofa bed. There is a dining area and table, a large, fully stocked kitchen and a bathroom. Sparkling clean and superbly comfortable. Enjoy the ocean breezes and bright atmosphere in this downstairs unit, plus a personal front patio for you to enjoy your morning coffee! Easy back door access to the bikes. Located in a quieter area with a large patio with a gas BBQ. Bike rentals are available. If you need a highchair or pack-n-play, we have them! JUST ADDED: EV CHARGER!

Guest Access:
You will have your own unique access code for the private front door so you can access it anytime after 3 pm. There is ample street parking in front and alongside of the building. Make note - street sweeping occurs between 9-11 am on Thursdays and Fridays - check the signs.

The Neighborhood:
Quaint and quiet, this is a residential beachy shore neighborhood. We are in a clean, safe, seaside community with many residents out walking and biking. You are steps from vibrant Second Street's shopping and eating district, sandy beaches, calm lagoons, picturesque Naples canals, bike & walking paths. Located just minutes from downtown Long Beach, CSU Long Beach, the Long Beach Aquarium, the Queen Mary, the LA Harbor and to Surf City USA - Huntington Beach. Use this as your home base to access all of southern California's favorite spots - your options are endless!
If you love water - you can windsurf, swim, kayak, surf, row, paddle board, jet ski, or even ride in an authentic gondola or take a sunset sailing cruise right in this neighborhood!
Easy access to the freeway access to get to any So CA attractions.

Getting Around:
There is ample street parking available. Less than one block to 2nd Street shops and restaurants. Two small blocks to the beach. Less than 3 miles to CSU Long Beach. You can rent our bikes, rent scooters, take Uber, Lyft, or catch the bus.

We are happy to help make your special occasion all the more wonderful - just let us know and we can offer suggestions and ideas.

*Coffee at Shelldrake's or Phil's on 2nd Street to charge your day- easy walk.
* Let's Yolk About It for breakfast cannot be matched - on 2nd Street
*Our favorite casual restaurant is Super Mex - the salsa is soooo good!
*For a more upscale dinner with an incredible view - go to The Queen's View in Shoreline Village
*Romantic - take a romantic gondola ride through Naples canals or the swan boats near Shoreline Village
*A fun brewery close by is Ballast Point or Belmont Shore Brewing- both right on the water
*Best beach for kids - Mother's Beach
*Best Playground to walk to - Livingston Park - 5 minute walk
*Best place for water fun - Alamitos Bay. You can rent anything there
*Nature - El Dorado Park & Nature Center
*Best evening stroll - up & down 2nd street. Most shops and restaurants stay open in the evening, plus have outdoor seating if you bring your pup.

Very communicative & responsive host. Convenient location

Our family stayed here for three nights after Christmas. The location was very convenient and we enjoyed being able to walk to many restaurants and coffee shops as well as down to the beach. The unit is older but clean and thoughtfully outfitted with everything you need. Communications from Susan were very thorough and timely. We appreciated the snacks and there was plenty of free parking on the surrounding streets. The unit and street reminded us of a European vacation rental so if you are familiar with that vibe you will have no concerns here. One does hear traffic noise from the nearby busy street so be aware of that if you are a light sleeper.

Our Mermaid experience

my grown son, his girlfriend and our two dogs stayed at this darling place! Checking in was seamless. There were little treats, A cupboard full of spices, if you cooked, Coffee and the bathroom filled with extras just in case you forgot some thing! I got a response very quickly anytime I had a question. The neighborhood was very clean and I felt very safe, especially since I had to walk our dogs at all times of the day and night. I will definitely come back when I come back to visit Family in Long Beach! Thanks again for being wonderful hosts, we love your little house!

Great Beach Getaway Location

The property is perfectly situated with a quick 10 minute walk to the beach or to 2nd street for great restaurants and bars. The home is fitout with everything you could need including neach chairs and toys. Neighborhood is quiet and everyone is friendly. Host is a great communicator and very responsive.

Perfect Beach Getaway!

This place was amazing. The location is close to the beach, the bikes were great to use. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Our furry friend also enjoyed the stay! The hosts were incredibly helpful and accommodating.

Wonderful location and clean, cozy space

Our family of six stayed here for a weekend event on the waterfront and we were super happy with the great communication from the hosts and seamless check-in/check-out process. The location is perfect for beach days and enjoying the great food and shopping along 2nd Street. Everything was very clean inside the unit and there were really nice, welcoming touches and amenities, ample bath and beach towels and beach toys for the kids. The bedroom/bathroom space was a little tight for six people, but we didn't spend much time indoors as we were out enjoying the neighborhood, so that didn't really matter. Having the reserved parking spot was an absolute must as there was no other close street parking, but there was a big event on the beach all weekend so that might have been atypical. We also didn't utilize the shared patio or laundry as they were occupied, but the neighbors seemed very nice. All in all a lovely little getaway from L.A. for our family!

Perfect Stay

Our stay at Susan & Ted’s was wonderful. They were so accommodating and communicative, and the house had everything we needed. So many nice touches like being able to check in early with our two small kids, snacks set out on arrival and nice amenities to use while there. The location was perfect for exploring around Belmont Shore. Just what we were hoping for in a vacation rental!

Long Beach / Catalina Island Family Trip

We had a great stay at this property. It was the perfect size for our small family of four - two adults and two kids (4 & 9). We rented this apartment as a middle ground place to stay for our six night family trip to visit around Long Beach (Aquirium & The Queen Mary), Catalina Island and Disneyland. This was close to the coastal attractions in Long Beach and a quick drive to Disneyland. The apartment itself was very comfortable and had everything we needed for a morning meals before a long day out. Just a couple of things to keep in mind - lots of one way streets in the area around the apartment, which took some getting use to when driving back and forth. And the room that has the bunk beds - our 9 year old slept on the top bunk and even slight moments made a decent amount of noise which bothered our younger child during the night a bit. But other than those two minor things - we loved the apartment and our six night stay and would recommend it for future stays in the Long Beach area. Thanks so much!

Belmont Shore Beach House

This house is PERFECT for your beach stay! It has everything you need for your relaxing trip at the beach! The hosts even let us check in FOUR hours early! Super comfortable beds. Plenty of room for a family/friends dinner too!

Great centrally located family beach stay

The little apartment had everything we needed and more. It was within walking distance to the beach, shopping and restaurants. We were greeted with a welcome tray of goodies and the kitchen was well stocked with the essentials. The furniture was all very comfortable. It provided a great home base for our little family vacation. We would definitely stay here again

The place was clean and in a good area. Close to the beach and dining. Easy to get to Huntington Beach. We had a welcome letter and some treats left by Susan and Ted for when we got there. Susan was very easy to get hold of and i was about to ask questions for weeks prior to our stay.

Quick stop after Disneyland

Excellent quiet cool place not far from the beach

Such a well cared for, stocked, perfect place to stay if you want to be a few blocks from the beach. It was a short walk to a fun shopping area with lots of restaurants. I highly recommend the Greek bakery/coffee shop Pietris. Susan and Ted made sure we even had a small welcome gift of snacks that was greatly appreciated. The AC is quiet and works well. The parking spot was helpful but there was also plenty of street parking. We liked the outdoor shared patio - had fun playing cards there once it cooled off. If we come back to Long Beach, this is the place for us.
