The website pictures did not accurately represent the room and I only saw the hotel listing after booking my flight via Expedia. If, during the 2025 remodel, the room had been taken down to the studs, the outcome may have been satisfactory but that was not the case. The result was like putting lipstick on a pig. Additionally, the room was not very clean, the bed spread stained and the towels would have become cleaning cloths in my home. On my first night I saw a cockroach in the bathroom. One could enter the main entrance morning, noon and night without a key card so it felt less than secure. After expressing my concerns the day after I arrived and requesting a refund for the remaining days, I was told it was not possible because of the 3rd party booking. I was offered a different room that was larger but it had most all of the same issues the smaller room did. I had never used Expedia before and will not do so again. I called Expedia in pursuit of a refund and was told they needed to get approval from the hotel. Long story short, I checked out after two days, was refunded for 1/4 days remaining and paid for accommodations elsewhere. A hard and expensive lesson learned.
