This motel does not match the photos online, and the condition of the room was unacceptable and unsafe. We arrived at 2:00 AM, and the only available parking was behind the building by a dumpster. While walking to our room, we passed other rooms with curtains open showing active construction.
When we entered the room, the door was immediately an issue. It did not close properly. The latch and metal hardware were misaligned and partially coming out of the frame, leaving a gap where hallway light came in. We had to force the door shut and lock the deadbolt just to keep it closed. The safety latch at the top of the door was missing entirely. Because it was 2:00 AM and we were able to secure the door with the deadbolt, we went to sleep, assuming this was the downside of staying at a cheap motel.
By morning, we noticed additional problems: the TV was off its mount and leaning against the wall, a hole in the bathroom wall stuffed with toilet paper, no toilet paper holder, dirty walls, bathroom vanity lights not working, cracked light switches, and mold inside the AC/heater unit.
We woke up at 10:30 AM, and checked out at 11:00. When I reported these concerns and asked about a refund or partial refund, the front desk staff member responded dismissively, questioned why we slept, and offered no solution. The interaction took place through a locked glass window, with no apology or acknowledgment.
Between the misleading photos and poor maintenance, this stay was extremely disappointing.
