De Montfort House is a beautiful property in Streatham that sleeps 6

De Montfort house is modern house on De Montfort Road is close to Streatham`s amenities.

There is a large, comfortable living room with plenty of seating for leisurely TV watching, leading to a bright dining area overlooking the private garden.

Patio doors give access to the garden. We have a lovely seating area in the garden where you can enjoy a meal or cold drink.

In the adjacent kitchen, you will find everything you need to prepare for your trip, as well as comfortable chairs, so that you can talk after eating or play in comfort with your family and friends for hours.

Upstairs there are two or three bedrooms with comfortable beds. There is one room with a super king bed that can be divided into two single beds.

The second room has one double bed. Each has a bedside table with a lamp and a wardrobe.

There is a dressing table with mirror in the third and final room, perfect for those who want to do theirmakeup before heading out for the evening.

There is a toilet, sink, and bath with a shower over it in the family bathroom.

Downstairs in the lounge you have a large corner sofa bedding suitable for an additional 2 guests.

The private garden has table and 6 chairs so you can relax in the sun with a glass of wine after a long day out.

Streatham high street is only 5 mins walk, here you will find a good variety of shops and restaurants for yourenjoyment.

Streatham Hill railway station is located on the High Street. London Bridge is a few stops up the line making aday trip to the city very convenient.

NO INFORMATION

We panicked when we arrived at the flat. Not only was there no-one there to welcome us, but the agency couldn't be contacted. We stayed outside the door for 1 hour and 15 minutes, from 6pm to 7.15pm. When we arrived at the airport at 4pm, I had warned them that we would arrive around 6pm via Whatsapp. Once we'd settled in, we liked the accommodation, although there was a problem with the shower and a lack of cooking equipment (induction saucepans, colander). I notified the agency after 3 days, but no response...Otherwise, it is spacious and was clean, the area is quiet.

Comfortable house

The house needs some renovation but is comfortable and located in a well-connected neighborhood. The train station is 5 minutes away! Communications with the host (a company, not an individual), seemed pre-programmed. They were frequent but did not answer our questions directly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this house.

Good location but shortcomings

The location was very good, but the apartment had a dingy quality and cleanliness was barely adequate. The shower temperature was very difficult to adjust. The manager never replied to my comment when we checked in that there was an odor from the hallway due to piles of laundry in the laundry room. I would not stay there again.

Not like the pictures

If you are looking for a place to sleep then give this place a try. As for looking like the photos, having working doors, showers or sinks along with cleanliness issues you might want to look elsewhere. The unit has great potential to be amazing but the owners need to work on the cleaning and upkeep of the unit along with offering wifi for their guests to use.

Mix Feelings

Overall stay was amazing location is great as it next to a lot of stores and even a movie theater. Things to look out for. 1. Instructions on how to operate electronics are MIA hopefully this could be rectified by property management. But figuring out the heating and using the washer was an experiment. 2. There’s a stove however it is an inductive cooker meaning you need a metal plate or pans that have metal base to operate this cooker only problem none of the pans in the kitchen worked on the cooker. Easily could be fixed by management as well. 3. The shower was a little broke and hard to operate as dials were seized little fix should do the trick I think if management would just leave some basic information on Wi-Fi, cooker, heating, washer and shower this would be a 5 star location.

I'd stay here again

No complaints. Nice tidy house and well worth what we paid. The property is in one of the nicer quiet areas of Streatham but is still only minutes away from the town centre, public transport etc etc. The was a king-size bed in the master bedroom which is a nice touch and a double in the 2nd bedroom. The 3rdbbedroom was more like a box room turned dressing room. This room had no bed although I'm certain that the comfy corner setee downstairs was also a bed setee. There was a flat screen TV with a firestick in the living room meaning my daughter could still do her usual routine of waking up and watching YouTube programmes on the tv. There was a joined dining room with tables and chairs that could be separated off with a sliding door. Tha dining room had patio doors that opened up onto the garden. A nice touch if you were staying in the summer. Perfect if you wanted to host a barbecue. There were only really 2 things that disappointed me and they are not major. 1. The lack of plug sockets upstairs in the bedrooms. 2. The mini bath/ shower. The bath was a mini bath which could only really fit a child in in the sitting position. Although the bath did have a really good power shower above it and a shower curtain going round it. They would be better off just fitting a shower cubicle or a full size bath that you can also shower in.
