Beware: Deceptive Practices at KVG Lexstay – A Nightmare Booking Experience via Expedia
I deeply regret not heeding the warning from reviewer Tan, as we encountered the exact same scam-like situation during our recent trip to Vietnam. This was hands-down the worst aspect of our vacation, turning what should have been a relaxing stay into a stressful ordeal.
We had booked a 5-star apartment at KVG Lexstay through Expedia well in advance, excited for its prime location and amenities. However, on the actual check-in day, we received a last-minute notification that the property was “fully booked” and they intended to relocate us to an alternative site. When we firmly rejected this unacceptable bait-and-switch, they callously instructed us to contact Expedia for a cancellation. But here’s the catch: cancellations require 24 hours’ notice, and since this bombshell was dropped on check-in day, we were trapped – no refund possible without penalties.
Left with no viable options, we were forced to accept the downgrade. They shuffled us off to a subpar 3-star apartment in District 2, which was significantly farther from our planned activities and lacked the quality and features we had paid for in our original 5-star booking. This not only disrupted our itinerary but also added unnecessary transportation costs and frustration to our trip.
This isn’t just poor service; it feels like a deliberate tactic to overbook and offload guests to inferior properties. Potential travelers, please take
