Very disappointing room assignment and poor front desk handling.
Upon check-in around 4pm, we were placed in a room that was clearly different from what we booked, without any prior notice or explanation, and it was located on the 3rd floor — the lowest guestroom level — directly next to the elevator.
What made the experience more frustrating was the inconsistent explanation from the front desk staff Chris Luu. We were first told the room was assigned per our request, which was not the case, and later informed it was due to a “system error.” This lack of transparency left us feeling uncomfortable.
Although a room change was eventually arranged, the new room was still on the same floor, resulting in significant street noise that continued until around 2:00 AM and resumed again as early as 5:00 AM, severely affecting our rest.
As we were staying for a total of three nights, we raised the noise issue again the following day and were moved to the 9th floor. Unfortunately, the new room was once again located next to the elevator.
We chose Hotel Indigo hoping it would provide comfort and peace of mind during our first trip to Vietnam. While some staff members were polite and tried to assist, but the overall experience was not as good as expected.
