«I did not realise that we were staying in a plantation village, with multiple accommodation. I had made a request for two beds and, as it was a slow time of year, we got two bedrooms. Pahala is a very cute town (and currently the only one with a grocery store as the one in Naalehu was no longer as at 28 Jan 25). The people were also really friendly. The only thing to consider is the roosters. If you want to sleep in - close the windows. We didn't, as the black sand beach was all ours at sunrise, ...

«This place is certainly unique. The cottage is surrounded by plants in a huge lot. I oh can hear the birds sing throughout the day and evening. We enjoyed the hot shower. Initially we could not find coffee, after asking for it, the landlord came early next morning and brought us coffee. We really appreciate how much thoughts the landlord put into designing and maintaining this lovely oasis. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a unique experience!»
