We chose this hotel based on its ratings, location and services. It turned out that the description was at least misleading. The only real positive is the fact that it is a brand new place. But this is also a downside, as the modern rooms are rather small, with bare concrete ceilings (not sure if by design), a fold down tiny table, a couple of small stools (or maybe nightstands?) and a few hangers. The bathroom has got bare bones amenities and it is “heated” by a barely warm timer controlled electrical towel rack. The free airport shuttle was decisive for our choice – but what a disappointment! It runs only once an hour (we missed it by 5 minutes), was overcrowded, no help with the luggage and due to street work, it left us at a bus stop, fair distance to the hotel. There is no mention on the hotel website or Expedia that we have to drag our luggage in the dark through snow both ways! Upon arrival the staff didn’t even bother to greet the numerous guests; check-in happens at self-serve booths; nobody cares to give directions or help with the luggage. The advertised tea and coffee at the reception are not complementary. The “free” breakfast is actually just added to the nightly rate and it is rather thin for a German hotel. Overall, didn’t feel welcomed and would definitely not recommend.
