Below is the email I sent to the managers. They promised a refund that did not arrive. We have now involved our bank to resolve it:
"Unfortunately, we must advise you that we have checked out of the above reservation early, today, due to untenable conditions. Instead, we have booked a room with Best Western Hotels, at a cost of $301 (receipt attached.) Obviously, we only incurred this additional, significant expense due to unlivable conditions in room 14-B, as outlined below.
1. Toilet; a. Upon arrival, the toilet contained urine. b. The inside and the outside of the toilet bowl showed fecal matter (see photos), the outside of which I had to clean off myself.
c. After flushing, the toilet bowl water raised nearly to overflowing – such that we didn’t dare try using it again. We were forced to walk to the local McDonald’s. d. The toilet made a loud gurgling noise all night (video sent by separate email due to size). e. An intermittent whirring noise was heard this morning due to an apparent repairman at work on the plumbing. We heard other guests through the walls discussing the toilet.
2. The bathroom door did not close fully – impacting privacy (see attached). 3. The shower floor was dirty and covered with something unidentifiable (see attached). 4. When starting to make coffee, the coffee cup provided contained dead bugs (see attached). A partial refund of $240 requested. (Not received)
