Cosy 3 bedroom cottage 5 minutes from Filey Beach

This is a cosy, terraced cottage in the heart of beautiful Filey. A minute's walk from the historic fishing town with tearooms, restaurants, pubs and independent shops. 5 minutes walk from an award-winning golden, sandy beach with shallow rock pools and seals to be spotted along the beloved headland; Filey Brigg. After sandcastle building and kite flying on the beach you can potter onto cobble landing with it's lifeboat station, fishing boats, an amusement arcade and kiosks selling delicious chips, ice-creams and waffles! Filey is a perfect base to visit Scarborough, Whitby, and Robin Hood's Bay to the north, whilst to the south, you can explore Flamborough Head with its lighthouse, Bempton Cliffs famous for its puffins, and Bridlington. Walkers will love the paths of the Cleveland and the Wolds way and can explore the nearby North York Moors National Park. Cyclists can enjoy the proximity of Dalby Forest whilst surfers can ride the waves at nearby Cayton Bay.

The house is welcoming and well-equipped offering excellent family accommodation for a seaside holiday in this unspoiled, picturesque location. It is beautifully furnished and decorated with elegant period features yet modern facilities. There is an enclosed, rear courtyard with table and chairs where you can enjoy a glass of wine on a deckchair and watch the sun go down.

The house offers: an open plan living/ dining room with WiFi, TV with freeview, DVD, CD player, board games and books. A well equipped fitted kitchen with kettle, toaster, microwave, gas oven and hob, fridge/ freezer, washing machine/ tumble dryer. There are beautiful fireplaces in the living room and master bedroom which are decorative only. There are 3 Bedrooms: a spacious double bedroom and bunk-bedroom (single over double bed) on the first floor, and a double bedroom on the 2nd floor. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over it, basin and WC. There is a separate WC. Other amenities include a hair-dryer, iron, ironing board and vacuum. Children are well catered for with a highchair, travel cot and stairgate. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent.
Free street parking is available nearby around the town. There is space for unloading directly outside the front door.

Exactly What we Wanted!

We had a great stay in Filey and were really happy with the property. It was clean, cosy and practical with plenty of space for our family of 5. The location was ideal, right in the centre, next to shops, takeaways and pubs and only 2 minutes walk from the beach. Would 100% recommend.

Lovely well equipped welcoming cottage

It was obvious that the owners have thought about what guests need: there was milk in the fridge for tea and even a packet of biscuits to keep the kids happy when we arrived. The kitchen was very well equipped with enough crockery, glasses, mugs and utensils, instructions were clear and correct, the property was clean and welcoming. Overall one of the best cottages we have stayed in

The chapel st house

We all enjoyed our stay the house was ideal for our family of five the beds were comfortable and having an extra toilet made it better in the morning’s. The house is in the centre of town and a 10 min walk to the lovely beach perfect for people with small children. We loved the house and location and would definitely recommend Filey for a holiday destination ❤️

Well equipped house close to the beach

We had a lovely break at this comfortable, well equipped cottage. It had everything we could need, particularly for children. It’s very convenient for the town and shops and only a few minutes walk to the beach. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Excellent location

Just had a fab week in this lovely cottage. Location to town and beach is excellent. Only down side was sofa and armchairs are very, very low, so anyone elderly or who have mobility problems would really struggle to get up from them. Stairs are steep and narrow, so again some folk would struggle. We had to drive round a couple of times to find a parking space, but got one eventually, just be patient. Overall we loved it.
