«We live in Edinburgh but had to book somewhere to stay while we were having work done at our house and Sycamore Cottage was perfect for four of us. The bedrooms are really spacious and the kitchen is really well equipped which isn’t always the case in self catering accommodation. We didn’t think we’d need to use the log burner but a typical Scottish spring meant we used it a few nights and there was plenty of logs left for it. Easy to drive into Edinburgh or can get the train from Gorebridge. ...

«Four of us stayed at Carina and Victor’s cottage over the bank holiday weekend. We were taking part in the Edinburgh marathon festival. They were so accommodating and welcoming upon our arrival, Victor showed us around and was incredibly friendly. The cottage is beautifully designed and furnished - the photos don’t do it justice! There’s a lovely private patio which would be wonderful during summer, unfortunately we had a lot of rain. They had milk in the fridge for us and also some tunnocks ...

«Good for family (2 adults, 4 kids). Good location, 30 minute walk or 10-15 minute bus ride to the city centre. Clean apartment, some initial struggle with the front door key ‘technique’ but the video was helpful, could’ve done with a few more kitchen utensils / oven trays for self catering. Overall good, would stay again. »

«The weather wasn’t in our favor but it didn’t matter as the cottage was the perfect place to spend a rainy day. The home was far more spacious than the photos conveyed. We had plenty of room for our group of five. With a well fitted out kitchen, a nice supply of board games, and a cozy fire in the wood stove, everyone enjoyed themselves. Hopefully, we will be able to take advantage of the lovely enclosed private garden on a future visit.»

«We traveled with two kids under four, my spouse, and her parents. The apartment had tons of space and a nice patio as well. This cottage is literally built within the wall of the castle grounds. The very windows you look out to see the ocean and the sheep are built right into the wall. The walk around the property is fantastic. «Hotellet var bra, men ikke fornøyd med at det ikke var noe romservice /renhold i det hele tatt på rommet i de 3 dagene vi var der. Frokosten var å så som så med til den prisen den kostet. Lite utvalg. Selve komforten på Hotellet var veldig bra, men hadde forventet mer service til den prisen vi betalte i døgnet.»

«Beliggenheten til hotellet var veldig bra og sentralt på Royal Mile, nært severdigheter og enkelt å ta seg en pause på hotellrommet. Vi ønsket rom med eget kjøkken og kjøkkenet var helt ok. Stekepannen og stekeredskapene var oppskrapet og godt brukt, så vi brukte ikke dem da de var litt ekle. Hårføneren var skitten og full av støy så brukte den ikke da den var ekkel. Helt ok rent rom ellers. Sengen skulle vært byttet ut da den var godt formet etter alle de andre som hadde vært der før oss. »
