The layout of the resort and beach were beautiful. Clear water, clean beach.
The food and service were disappointing. The bar opens at 11am and closes at 11pm and often earlier. They seem understaffed, sometimes waiting for drinks at the buffet or I helpful myself to coffee because they never came.
The options at the buffet seem limited and hardly any authentic Mexican options. I saw guacamole once at the lunch buffet.
The resort seems clean, but outdated. Not many rooms with balconies available which wasn’t clear when booking. The railing on the balcony was wobbly.
The app wasn’t great and the restaurants often had availability when you go in person instead of using the app.
22 out of 32 people in our group got sick with stomach issues. I question the cleanliness of the glassware and some of the food, but the resort was able to accommodate a late checkout for a family with us that had a sick child, but only after providing all the names and room numbers of the people that got sick.
People in the Facebook group seem to have mixed reviews, perhaps members have a different experience. I wouldn’t book this resort again.
I travel to Mexico once a year and I had better experiences at other resorts.
