We had an amazing 7 night stay at Melia casa maya. Family of four our kids are 10 & 8.
Staff are very friendly and helpful- we loved the atmosphere.
Drinks are all good. Bartenders all amazing.
I wish there were more restaurants tho we missed having Asian type of food as there were none.
Beautiful beach. Clean and calm right in front of the property but getting beach chairs were bit tricky. Were all taken by 9. I asked a guy and he said they put their towel at 6:30.
The general store was ridiculously overpriced so I suggest everyone go elsewhere or use uber to get everything (still save a lot if money)
No coin operated laundry available and laundry service by the resort is very expensive which might be a dealbreaker for some. Especially when you travelling with kids.
Overall we had a great time at Melia casa maya.
Oh if you are getting resort credit by booking on Expedia do not even bother about it. Went to spa treatment because I had $150 but They would not let me use it and had to pay out of my pocket at the spot. And when I asked about it at the guest service they did not know what to do with the credit.
