I NEVER EVER write reviews, but I HAD TO for this hotel experience! When my family & I pulled up to the property we were nervous b/c the lot was basically completely empty & it just looked sketchy; it looked like a motel instead of a hotel. Then we saw two women walk out into the parking lot that gave us the impression they were strippers or hookers, which made us further believe we ended up booking a motel instead of hotel. After a while, we realized the Ramada, shared a parking lot w/ a motel (I believe the Red Roof or Red Inn...). We were VERY relieved, until we walked into the building & the immediate smell of cigarettes & bad odor hit us; however, it did smell fine on the 3rd floor, which was our floor. The room definitely needed to be updated: the walls looked like bad stucco, the ceiling tiles in the bathroom were shabby, there was no mirror in the bedroom, & I didn't dare turn on the AC/heat for fear of what would come out the vent. As far as cleanliness: there were little pieces of hair intertwined in the fabric of the towels, hair stands, stains, & cigarette burns on the bed linen, poop residue in the bottom of the toilet, etc; we called the front desk (which is in a separate building across the parking lot) to ask for fresh linen & they stated that housekeeping left for the day & we should've called as soon as we got in the room, mind you normal check in is 3p & we checked in before that, so why is housekeeping gone already?!
