Sunset over the lake in Pagosa CO. Pagosa Springs has an amazing hot spring resort on the river with many tubs cut into the riverside of different temperatures and salinity. Above the old town of Pagosa Springs is a newer development the has a lake with an view towards Pagosa Peak and the Window area of the Continental Divide. The sunsets in southwestern Colorado are absolutely incredible on a regular basis. Was driving home from work on Hwy 84 heading south had to stop to see this.
We were fortunate enough to fly out of Pagosa Springs on a private plane for a quick look at the surrounding mountain area. This was taken very close to Pagosa from the air while I was holding back all the bad juju that my body wanted to expel.
The Colorado sunrises can be breathtaking. Looking south on Hwy 84 towards New Mexico. #winterwonders
The frozen Piedra River flowing through Hinsdale county in southwest CO near Pagosa Springs. The river flows through several box canyons on its way to the San Juan river at Navajo lake. The evening light was so incredible standing on the canyon rim high above the river.
