"We stayed at Turaco Nungwi Resort and had a generally positive experience, though one issue unfortunately impacted the overall impression. The resort itself is in a truly stunning location. The sunsets are absolutely spectacular, and the combination of beach, pool area, and bar creates a magical atmosphere that is hard to beat. The staff were outstanding. They were consistently friendly, attentive, and genuinely service-minded. We felt we built a very good connection with several team members, who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. However, the presence of crows at the resort was a significant drawback. This was not just a minor inconvenience—it affected the overall experience. The crows were frequently seen damaging the thatched roofs, entering the restaurant area, and even taking food directly from guests’ plates. Around the pool and sunbeds, they created constant noise, which at times became quite overwhelming. While the resort has many strong qualities, this issue should be addressed, as it detracts from what would otherwise be a near-perfect stay. Overall, a beautiful resort with exceptional staff, but the crow problem unfortunately lowers the overall experience."

"We had a very enjoyable stay at The Mora Zanzibar, and overall it was a highly positive experience. The food was excellent—both in quality and variety. There was a wide selection of dishes, and everything we tried was flavorful and well-prepared. One thing to note is that many of the dishes had a slightly Indian-inspired touch, with similar spices used across several meals. That said, the food was consistently good and enjoyable throughout our stay. The hotel itself is impressive, with a wide range of facilities that make it easy to relax and enjoy your time without needing to leave the resort. It truly lives up to its “luxury all-inclusive” concept. The staff deserve special recognition. They were exceptionally friendly, professional, and always service-minded. Every interaction felt genuine, and they consistently went out of their way to be helpful and welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. We were also pleasantly surprised by the WiFi connection, which was reliable and noticeably better than what we have experienced at most other hotels in Zanzibar. All in all, this was a very positive stay, and we would happily recommend The Mora Zanzibar to others looking for a high-quality, all-inclusive resort experience."

"We had a truly memorable stay at Konokono Beach Resort, including time in the Isaraya Over Water Villa, and overall this was one of the highlights of our trip. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and we genuinely felt we built a good connection with several of them during our stay. A special mention also goes to the Maasai guards, who not only provided security but also added a unique cultural touch by entertaining guests with singing and traditional jumping dances—something we really enjoyed. The food was consistently very good, and the overall cleanliness—both in the villa and around the resort—was of a high standard. The setting is simply stunning. The area is incredibly idyllic, and honestly, it rivals—or perhaps even surpasses—places like the Maldives in terms of natural beauty. The water is crystal clear and perfect for swimming, although it’s worth noting that the current can be surprisingly strong, especially during low tide. One thing to be aware of is the pricing of drinks, which we found to be very high. If you are staying in a villa, it may be a good idea to bring your own beverages. The only real downside during our stay was the lack of shade on the terrace outside the villa. Around midday, it became extremely hot, and we missed having a parasol or some form of sun protection to make better use of the outdoor space during those hours. Overall, this is a fantastic resort with a unique atmosphere, excellent service, and breathtaking surroundings."

"We stayed at Tembo House Hotel in Stone Town for two nights, in room 106. While the hotel has some positive aspects, there are also several areas that could be improved. The room was very small, with barely enough space for our luggage. It felt cramped, and it was almost impossible to move around the bed on both sides. The bed itself was quite hard and uncomfortable, with only a thin blanket and sheet provided, which did not add much to the comfort level. Additionally, the room was quite noisy, with a lot of sound coming in from the hallway. In the restaurant, we experienced that both crows and cats would come inside, meaning you had to keep a close eye on your food. That said, the food itself was tasty and well-prepared, which was a definite positive. On the plus side, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We also appreciated that the hotel provided us with an early breakfast in a takeaway bag, as we had to leave before the restaurant opened—this was a thoughtful and convenient touch. Overall, while the service and food were good, the room conditions and restaurant environment leave room for improvement."

"Ikke som forventa. De har flere spisersteder innpå hotellet men veldig liten meny å lite tilvalg. Tok og opp til 1 time før maten kom. Å var ikke som visst på bilde. Kjedelig mat å dårlig renhold mye støv på gulv. "

"All in all a very pleasant place with friendly staff who took good care of the guests . The only downside is the slightly worn bathroom with poor water pressure. A male pushy salesman for SPA and massage was annoying. We were not interested and it took 5 days before he gave up."
