From the moment I arrived, the experience was disappointing. The staff was rude and unwelcoming. A gentleman behind the counter wasn’t assisting anyone, and when I approached to check in, he told me I had to wait for the other employee because he wasn’t ready to help at that moment. Meanwhile, the young lady at the computer who also didn’t appear busy helped someone who cut in line ahead of me. She then asked another individual nearby if he needed help, even though he was clearly with the person she had just assisted. I felt completely ignored standing there, waiting until they finally decided to check me in.
When I eventually received my key and went upstairs, the room was not what I expected. I always check the mattresses for cleanliness, especially for bedbugs, and the mattress looked very old and worn. The room did not feel clean. There was visible dust buildup in the corners and underneath the beds. The beds themselves felt dusty and dirty, to the point where I slept on top of the blankets because I didn’t feel comfortable.
This was not an ideal place to stay especially while on vacation. I would have gladly paid the extra $100–$200 to stay somewhere else if I had known this location would not meet basic cleanliness and service expectations.
Overall, a very disappointing experience.
