Very uncomfortable night — poor value for money We stayed at Made Inn Faro for one night before our flight, and unfortunately the experience was quite unsettling. During the night, we were woken up by someone screaming and aggressively pounding on a hotel room door, as if they were trying to force their way in. The situation was loud and frightening enough that we were seriously considering calling the police. We did not feel comfortable leaving our room or confronting anyone, particularly as we were two women travelling alone. The disturbance eventually stopped, but we were left awake and worried for the rest of the night. Other guests also witnessed/heard the incident. What made this particularly concerning was that there is no night receptionist at the hotel, so there was nobody immediately available to deal with the situation. When we checked out, the reception staff actually asked us about what had happened and apologised for the inconvenience, which confirmed that the incident had been noticed by the hotel. The room itself was extremely small. We could barely open our suitcases, and while this might be manageable for a very short stop, it offered very little comfort. Considering the price, we found the hotel to be poor value for money for a two-star property. The surrounding area also did not make us feel particularly comfortable, especially after what happened during the night.
