«The hosts were responsive and very welcoming. The house was a quintessential Hawaiian retreat with the added bonus of a rescue donkey on premises! I will be recommending this house to anyone visiting big island. Oh and the location was ideal for visits to southernmost point, black and green sand beaches, volcano park, coffee farms, and historical parks. »

«I did not realise that we were staying in a plantation village, with multiple accommodation. I had made a request for two beds and, as it was a slow time of year, we got two bedrooms. Pahala is a very cute town (and currently the only one with a grocery store as the one in Naalehu was no longer as at 28 Jan 25). The people were also really friendly. The only thing to consider is the roosters. If you want to sleep in - close the windows. We didn't, as the black sand beach was all ours at sunrise, ...
