«I did not realise that we were staying in a plantation village, with multiple accommodation. I had made a request for two beds and, as it was a slow time of year, we got two bedrooms. Pahala is a very cute town (and currently the only one with a grocery store as the one in Naalehu was no longer as at 28 Jan 25). The people were also really friendly. «Not only was our room incredible, but the entire staff, the on-site restaurant, and the charming little gift shop were all wonderful. We stayed in the "HOKULANI" room. It had a beautiful balcony where we could watch the birds perched in the ‘Ohi‘a Lehua trees and listen to them sing. Warming up by the fireplace in the room allowed us to truly relax. «We were booked for a standard queen room, but likely due to availability, put into one of the three 1 king + 1 full rooms and an amazing ceiling shower. It was well maintained, the keys and room prepped before we arrived very late. There was a dehumidifier making room not damp, and additional resources such as toilet paper, coffee and such were available in the self-hosting lobby. The location is barely five minutes from Volcano National Park and close to one of our favorite Thai restaurants. ...

«Hale Ohia Cottages ligger kort vei fra Volcano nasjonalpark. Jeg leide en veldig idyllisk frittliggende hytte. De holdt på å bygge mens jeg var der, med flere enheter i to nye bygg. Jeg synes det meste av sjarmen lå i det å ha sin helt egen hytte. Er du avhengig av godt nett er dette ikke stedet å være. Men ser du etter ro og sjarm anbefaler jeg stedet høyt. Jeg var to netter, og gikk lange turer i nasjonalparken. Veldig flott. Husk å ta en kveldstur dit, så du får med deg vulkanen i aktivitet. ...

«Me and my daughter had a very good experience at the Volcano Forest Inn. It is literally at 5 minute drive of the entrance of the Volcano National Park. Which allow us to visit the volcano easily. The rooms was pretty big, confortable and clean. The communication with the owner and our arrival was easy. We were warned by email that the weather could be chilly because of the rain forest. «We weren't able to check in during the listed check-in times, but Tasha was able to accommodate us. After discovering all the restaurants in town were shut down before our arrival, it was a relief to find a couple snacks and fruits in a bowl waiting for us on arrival. The place was very clean and comfortable. The obly opportunity for improvement would bebetter signage feom the road. »
