«We recently stayed at the Adults Only section of the Barcelo Grand Resort and it exceeded all our expectations. By choosing the AO, you receive access to all other hotels within this “community” that has a mile of beachfront and is landlocked with no public access, making it feel very private. «Casino on property is very outdated with old slot machines. Very small square footage with very dark lighting. Tables are limited to about 6 total. Must pay a 7 percent fee on winnings on tables above what you bought in for. If you have losing receipts, you can claim them as a loss up until your same amount of winnings in order to not pay taxes on. Slot machines are a different deal all together. «Very disappointed with this resort. I chose it based on reviews that did not match reality. The rooms were clean, but the bathrooms were very outdated. There was no visible security, guests were fighting around 2–3 AM after parties, and no staff came to check on them, which felt unsafe and disrupted sleep. The beach also had no security. Buffet food was limited, soups were overly salty, and items were not refilled if you came later. Not suitable for a relaxing vacation—more of a party place. ...
