«We were super impressed by this vacation rental in Carpinteria! Clean, airy, and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. The location is awesome--less than a mile to downtown and just a quick drive down to Santa Barbara. Easy check-in and check-out process too. Definitely recommend!»

When we arrived the beds were not made (as in someone had slept in them) and were not washed (you could see body imprints on the pillows and bedding. The bathroom and kitchen were filthy and there was trash in all of the trashcans. It is on a busy street and backs up to a public park where the city of Santa Barbara has erected a 3-story trapeze apparatus and a large trampoline, with attached rock music playing 9-5. Regular noise from instructors shouting to teens training on the trapeze. The backyard gazebo looks enticing in the photos of the listing, but it's noisy during the day. «Lance was an excellent host with great communication from beginning to end. The house was clean, inviting, and well kept. The outdoor area was very quaint and useable. The front stairs are steep and the driveway is gravel so something to keep in mind for those that that might find this challenging. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and would certainly recommend renting this property.»

«It was such a joy to stay here! Intended to go out quite a lot but ended up staying in pretty much the whole weekend we booked which was lovely. No complaints. The area is so wonderful and we even got to see a family of owls with newborns just little walk away. Magical. Thank you!»
