«Spotlessly clean, fabulous hosts and stocked with everything you could possibly need. Reading past reviews I was shocked at mentions of the floors being cold. It's an 18th century cellar for goodness sake!!! Stone floors are part of the charm. It is cosy and warm at this time of year (and I imagine lovely and cool in the summer).I would definitely stay again for its location, its cleanliness and its hosts. Can't fault it except for the mattress, which is a bit "argos" and could do with a good ...

«Room was on the smaller side but had everything needed. Bathroom was huge with a bath which was nice but no way to control the room temperature which was on the cold side especially at night in October. It seems towel rail and heating were connected but was off. Staff didn’t seem to know how to deal with this issue. Hot water bottle needed if visiting this time of year. »

«The staff at the hotel and its restaurants was amazing. Very proactive and helpful, but discrete. The hotel room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The turn-down service every evening was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend if you need some r&r and want a location close to the Cotswold for day trips.»

«We received a warm and friendly greeting upon our arrival, and were given a full run down of our room and the amenities. The honestly bar is a great idea and although we didn’t use it, it was good to know it was there. Breakfast was perfect, lovey, high quality produce all served by friendly staff. City centre was a 10-15 minute stroll and easily accessible. A lovely stay would definitely return. »
