Dinning room is great for meals & family games. The property is well kept and in a nice quiet location. Family went for walks around the near by WV State campus. Shawnee complex is close by. Since I have family all through the area, this will be my first choice for booking.»

«The Almost Heaven Lodge was a beautiful escape from the city and the name says it all. Brennan is a spectacular host providing us with treats, drinks, and extra toiletries. He covers all the bases and provided great recommendations. The lodge was clean and very thoughtfully decorated. We were able to enjoy the creek from the back deck and the fire pit. «We’ve been coming to HMT for about 6 years. The house was great. Clean. Well maintained. Host was readily available for any and all questions. Self check in. Love the central location between all of our normal trails. I gave it a 4 star over all because although it had free wifi there was no cellular service. For some of our crew it was difficult to keep in touch with family. The other issue was the couches were too low for our crew. I know they change to beds but sitting in them was difficult ...
