The Eryie at Beauty Mountain

Located in the Heart of the New River Gorge National Park, this cozy, one bedroom loft has everything you need to relax after a long day of adventuring.
Sleeps 4 with one bedroom with a full size bed and a seperate space with a single cot size bed. Also has a couch for a fourth guest. Cabin is located on the same property as the main house with a shared driveway entrance. Cabin has its own parking, though, separate from the main house. Fully stocked kitchen, and bathroom with fresh linens for your convenience. All beds have memory foam mattresses with washable mattress protectors. Enjoy the 50 inch flat screen Smart Tv.

The Eyrie at Beauty Mountain
Rekindle your sense of adventure at this beautiful, unique loft cabin in the heart of the New River Gorge National Park area. Step out your front door and walk just a short distance to the Beauty Mountain trail head or the Short Creek parking lot. You’ll quickly find yourself on the park’s gorge-rim trails, with breathtaking 180-degree views of the gorge. Leave your car at the cabin and enjoy hiking, biking, and the world-class rock climbing of the scenic Endless Wall.
Less than ten minutes from historic downtown Fayetteville, you’ll savor a mix of peace, quiet, and easy access to all the area has to offer. You’ll drive just four miles to the legendary rafting, hiking, zip-lining, and dining at Adventures on the Gorge, and less than ten minutes to Fayetteville’s best restaurants like Cathedral Cafe and Pies and Pints.
Close to all the fun and adventure of America’s newest national park, you’ll be minutes from the river access points at the New and Gauley River, Mill Creek, and the Meadow River. You’ll also reach public hunting and fishing in just a few minutes, or drive 10 miles to the swimming, fishing, and breathtaking views of Hawk’s Nest State Park.
In the summer, the soaring cliffs of spectacular Summersville Lake await just 25 minutes away. In winter, you’re 45 minutes from the renowned snowmaking and exciting terrain and tubing of Winterplace Ski Resort. Book now, and take advantage of everything Fayetteville is famous for!

The place was nice. The description indicates that you share a driveway with the owner which is fine. What you don’t know and the pictures don’t indicate is that the owners house is 30 feet from the apartment. Not a deal breaker for our short visit. We just assumed that we would feel a little more isolated. There were no noise issues.

This was the perfect place for our one night stay on the way to Tennessee. The cabin was clean and cozy with a lovely shower. Great location. Close to some great hiking and the visitor center. We did the Endless Wall trail up to Diamond Point Outlook and absolutely loved it. We would definitely stay here again!

We stayed one night. Small, but as described. No top sheets or mattress covers, but the bed was comfortable. We couldn't get the AC off. The remote was not working. We messaged the host that night and didn't hear back until after we checked out the next day. Also, I think a breaker had tripped. Lights and outlets didn't work in one section, but the host probably wasn't aware. Beautiful location and worked fine for a one night stay.

The stay was a little difficult. Stairs to the cabin are small and steep making the trip up and down difficult. The bed is a nightmare because there is no room on either side to get in or out. The bed is literally up against the walls. Not the cleanest. Carpets not vacuumed. The bath towels were rolled up wet and the blinds need dusting. The cabin needs an overall deep cleaning.

Perfect location for New River Gorge trip

Great location only 8 minutes from Dickey ridge visitor center and the Bridge Walk tour. Short drive to restaurants, hiking trails and shopping but off set in the woods to give you a rustic feel. Property was quiet and we even spotted a deer munching on some leaves outside the bedroom window.

Not as described-disappointed with the view.We were really looking forward to this stay based on the listing, but unfortunately it didn’t match what was promised.For example, the property appears to look like it sits off alone, but as you will see in the photos, the property is actually on the other side of the driveway, facing their home and backyard where the dogs run. There was no view to enjoy. Also, the steps leading up and down to the place are very steep, dangerous, especially since it rained. Amenities: There were no dish rags, and they ask you to do any dishes before leaving. There were no wash clothes for the bathroom and only 3 older towels and there weren't any hand soap in bathroom either. There was mold in and around the shower and in toilet.There is also minimal lighting in the place. It is either the extremely bright overhead light or a very small, dim lamp. The lighting in the kitchen has a short in it, it blinks and clicks on and off many times. They also have propane heaters, but do not have a smoke alarm or carbon dioxide alarm in the place. Bedroom was not a bedroom, it was the side of a walk in closet with a full size bed stuffed in there, no room for a side table or anything. The bed was not comfortable, there was only a fitted sheet, no top sheet and an old comforter (see photos) There was a cot behind a wall off living room.The couch was older and covered in dog hair. I think this is my first bad review and we travel often.

Spring Break

Nice place. We stayed in late March so it did get cold at night. We had a space heater but we did not leave it on overnight. The bedroom was smaller in person. The shower and bathroom were very nice. The locaction was a great base to exploring New River and Babcock state park.

It was a good overnight stay. The property was close to ACE where we went the next day.

It was a good stay. Only issue was the WiFi was down which was not the host fault, they stated it was being worked on by internet company. But barely any cell service and couldn’t use TV. More an issue for my 8&4 year old.

Cute and Quiet

We booked this Vrbo for one night during a week in Mah while we explored New River Gorge National Park. It was about 5 minutes from the Endless Wall Trail, 10 minutes from the park's Canyon Rim Visitor Center and 15 minutes from Fayetteville. The place was clean and had air conditioning and two space heaters. The only thing I didn't like was the single cot which had a mattress on it. It was comfortable enough, but when my alarm went off in the morning and I turned to my side to turn it off, the cot tipped over and I fell to the floor. I would suggest either not using the mattress, or that the owner somwhow secure the cot so that it won't tip over. Also, the steps to get into the Vrbo were steep, so it's not the best choice for someone with a physical disability. Other than that, we loved it!

Overnight by the bridge

We just needed somewhere to stop where we could easily explore New River Gorge on our way through. This fit the bill perfectly. It is a very small space (as described), but we managed to fit three adults and a baby in the space comfortably for a night.
