«As a lover of architecture, it scratched the itch to stay in a historic mansion. Like much of Richmond, IL, this house was many decades past its prime, witnessed by the broken car parked out front and the 70's apartment complex that overlooks its backyard. The home has tons of space and some beautiful original features, but you have to balance them with the broken, mismatched thrift store furniture, the challenging lack of outlets/strangely placed switches and dusty old curtains some on broken ...

«Kitchen had no toaster. Kitchen sink was very dirty. Coffee pot was very dirty, still had water in it from??? We had to wash it thoroughly before using. Overall the house had a strange smell to it, do t know if it was from cleaning products or what. Bathroom sink was dirty, soap dispenser was dirty and the shower was discussing! Sheets in one bedroom had something g white on them in two places. Would not stay here again; needs a good cleaning.»

«The house was beautiful overall. However, there were a few issues. Both rooms smelled like animal urine, and the carpet looked like it needed cleaning. This, combined with my allergies, made it difficult to sleep. The bed was also dirty When I first walked in, the house smelled like an animal had just left. Despite these problems, the neighborhood was very quiet, and the neighbors didn’t bother us. The host was also helpful.»

With my wife's allergies, we could not stay & had to book a hotel room elsewhere, that cost us a lot more money & was further from Lucas Oil Stadium, where we were attending the Final Four, which was a surprise for my wife for her birthday.
