«Oscar was a great host - the view is amazing and the location to the activities we wanted to do was perfect. The only things I would like to see improved are more places to hang or put your clothes and the main area was not air conditioned so it made it difficult to all hang out in the center area. The pool was great and the outdoor cabana was wonderful.»

«We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Castillo. The terrace had an amazing view of Arenal volcano, and we saw so many birds in the backyard. It was amazing to have coffee in morning and watch clouds roll through valley and listen to birdsong. The location is convenient for getting to Fortuna and nearby parks for hiking, but Castillo feels much more quaint and quiet for enjoying peaceful evenings. «I’ll start of by saying the house is so unique and beautiful and is a perfect place to stay in La Fortuna. Having an open living space was great with a perfect view of Arenal. The property is located within walking distance of all the restaurants, sodas and grocery stores you need and a short drive to all the activities and adventures around Arenal. «The photos do not do the house justice. On arrival the house was clean and had all of the necessary kitchen and bathroom essentials. Each room had an individual bathroom with shower that had good pressure. The view of the arenal volcano was breath taking and the pool was a perfect way to stay cool down in the heat. Disclaimer the pool structure is made of a cement type of material and we did get some scrapes, but nothing too bad. Also, there is no jacuzzi it is simply a “water feature”. In ...

«We were immersed into the neighborhood or the local La fortuna residences and close to the town and tour activities. We stayed with our 2 daughters, 10 and 12, while there is no AC, it cools off enough in the evening to be perfectly comfortable. There is a small market near by for basics. The yard is beautifully kept and Zuelema is very communicative when gardeners came to work. There is a river near by that we got to meet some of the locals and play in the water away from the tourist areas. ...

«Daniela was an excellent host. We had a nail in a tire and her father came to the rescue. The communication and support from the host was "second to none". The setting was in the middle of the rainforest with decks on every side of the house. Each time we went out we saw and heard birds and one time even had monkeys entertain us.
