It has been a while since I was surprised by a stay. Usually places are pretty close to what I expect and perfectly fine. But this place was so much better than I could've ever expected. The staff was SO extremely friendly, helpful and just overall kind every time we had a question or needed anything. I can't remember the last time I felt such a culture of genuine hospitality. And the room/view/location.. We were here just for a school event but everything here made it feel like a relaxing vacation! The room was spotless, huge, stocked with everything we needed, had comfortable beds and was SO peaceful. The pool and outdoor areas were fun, inviting and felt more like a resort than your average hotel. The breakfast was also much better than usual and everyone loved it. But hands down my favorite thing was the view. We had the little lake right outside of our windows and it was so awesome to watch the tide ebb and flow under the full moon. It smelled wonderful and kind of felt like the beach listening to all of the happy birds enjoying it. It was also very close to a great nature trail that led to the bay full of wildflowers and even more birds etc. It's long and would've been great with bikes or a run so definitely worth packing good shoes if you want to explore it all. And lastly, sometimes it's the small things that put it over the top, but it is going to be hard going back to a normal room after having TWO decent sized bathrooms for teenagers to get ready! Much easier!!
